The Challenge

The Challenge

One of RECUR’s biggest challenges was making emerging Web3 technology feel accessible to mainstream audiences and enterprise partners. At the time, most blockchain onboarding experiences were fragmented, overly technical, and intimidating to anyone outside of the crypto space. Even simple actions like creating a wallet or understanding digital ownership introduced friction, causing many users to drop off early.

At the same time, major brands and gaming companies were looking for new ways to build long-term engagement with their audiences. They wanted stronger retention, deeper community interaction, and digital ecosystems they could fully own and monetize without relying entirely on third-party platforms.

Our challenge was finding a way to bridge those two worlds. The experience needed to feel intuitive, fast, and entertaining for everyday users, while still delivering the scalability and innovation that enterprise clients expected from Web3 technology. The goal wasn’t to teach people blockchain, but rather to design products where the technology faded into the background, and the experience itself came first.

My Role

My Role

As Art Director, I helped define the visual language and overall experience strategy behind RECUR’s platform, presentations, and client-facing initiatives. My role sat at the intersection of branding, product, and marketing, which meant translating complex Web3 concepts into experiences that felt clear, exciting, and easy to engage with.

A large part of the work focused on product storytelling — developing visual systems, presentations, and campaigns that communicated RECUR’s vision to both enterprise partners and everyday users. I also explored UX and UI directions for platform experiences, helping shape interfaces and white-label solutions that could adapt across multiple brands and entertainment properties.

Beyond product work, I created motion graphics, marketing assets, and sales enablement materials used across pitches, launches, and partnership conversations. Because the company moved quickly, collaboration was a major part of the process. I worked closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams to ensure that every touchpoint felt cohesive, strategic, and visually engaging.

Product & UX Thinking

Product & UX Thinking

A major focus of the work was reducing friction in onboarding and helping users engage with unfamiliar technology through intuitive UX patterns and gamified systems.

The platform emphasized:

  • simplified onboarding flows

  • fast account creation

  • flexible payment systems

  • customizable branded ecosystems

  • interactive reward mechanics

We designed experiences around behavioral engagement principles, including:

  • reward loops

  • mystery mechanics

  • collectible progression systems

  • retention-based activities

The goal was to make participation feel seamless and rewarding rather than technical or intimidating.

Design System & Visual Direction

Design System & Visual Direction

Visually, the work was designed to balance futuristic, forward-thinking branding with the level of clarity and polish expected from enterprise technology companies. Because many of RECUR’s partners came from gaming and entertainment, the design language also pulled inspiration from interactive media — combining sleek interfaces, high-energy presentation design, and motion-driven storytelling to create experiences that felt dynamic rather than overly corporate.

I developed cohesive visual systems that extended across enterprise sales decks, gaming presentations, onboarding materials, platform visuals, motion graphics, and campaign assets. The goal was to make every touchpoint feel connected, regardless of whether it was a pitch to a major brand partner or a user-facing experience within the platform itself.

One of the biggest creative challenges was maintaining consistency across such a wide range of industries and audiences. Each client needed experiences that reflected their own identity and goals, while still feeling unified under the broader RECUR ecosystem. That required building flexible design systems that could adapt without losing clarity, energy, or brand cohesion.

Outcomes and Impact

Outcomes and Impact

The work helped position RECUR as a user-friendly and enterprise-ready platform within the rapidly evolving Web3 space.

Key initiatives emphasized:

  • reducing onboarding complexity

  • increasing engagement through gamification

  • enabling scalable white-label experiences

  • supporting enterprise sales conversations through clear product storytelling

The experience strengthened my ability to design systems that balance usability, storytelling, and emerging technology.
